It Could Hardly Have Been Closer

July 30th – This afternoon we had our latest home league match against Bolingbroke BC. After close early exchanges, Anne, Betty, Pete and Martin were 6 – 9 down after 7 ends. The remainder of the match however belonged to Bolingbroke who pulled ahead to win 27 – 14. After 11 ends Ange, Sabrina, George and Neil led 16 – 5, holding on to win 24 – 15. At 10 ends Hector, Derek, Vernon and Barry were level at 8 – 8; edging the second half saw them finish with a 19 – 15 win. Match result 6 – 4 (with 57 shots to each team).
