League Match v Belmont

29.6.25 – This afternoon we were away at Belmont BC on what was an extremely hot day; common sense prevailed and the game was shortened to 16 ends, with no trial ends and 1 scored on the first two ends. Jackie, Sue R, Claire T and Martin found their opposition skip in great form and from 3 – 3 at 6 ends, Belmont pulled away to win 22 – 7. Richard F, Rosalind, Richard S and Barry were 0 – 4 after four ends, before taking the next five ends to lead 15 – 4. Not to be outdone, Belmont won the next six ends to level the score, but the final end went to WPBC who took the win 16 – 15. Caroline, Bob, Vera and Neil also had a skip against them who converted a number of ends, with Belmont taking the win 17 – 7. Match result 2 – 8 (30 shots to 54).
