League Match v Mitcham

On a sweltering Saturday afternoon we took to the green, with our Ladies Captain at the helm, for a Home Weekend League match against Mitcham. A match which Wimbledon Park bossed, from the off. After 9 ends Wimbledon Park were ahead on all rinks; 17 – 1, 12 – 4 and 10 – 5. Although one of the Micham rinks managed to pull a few shots back, in the second half of the match, Wimbledon Park continued to dominate, with Sue F, Bob, Anne and Richard S winning 18 – 12, Mark, Rosalind, Claire T and Martin winning 21 – 10 and Elaine, Richard F, Vera and Barry winning, 27 – 12, for an overall 66 – 34 win on shots and a 10 – 0 Points Win. Thanks to everybody who provided the after-match refreshments, with a big thank you to Sue F for being captain for the day and to Richard F for the match report.
