Robert Faulds Competition

On Sunday afternoon 14 bowlers took to the green, to take part in the qualifying rounds of the Robert Faulds Competition. 8 bowlers were randomly drawn into the Purple Group, with 6 more being drawn in the Red Group, with each group taking to the green alternatively. Everybody then played six ends against three different bowlers in their group, with three bowls. Points were then awarded for each win, draw or loss. With two wins and a draw Matt E and James progressed, from the Purple Group, to the Semi Finals. The Red Group was much closer, with Christine P just missing out on Shot Difference to Vera and Dez, after all three accrued 7 Points. Both the draw, for the Semi-Finals, and the Semi-Finals themselves will take place on the Saturday of Club Finals Weekend.  Thanks to the 8 club members who supported this event and to Richard F once again for his organisational skills and his report.
