League Result Away at Colliers Wood

7.8.17 – with England taking on Sweden this afternoon, the league match against Colliers Wood was moved forward to an 11.00 start. Back at Wimbledon Park, Barry kindly stayed to run the taster session and set up for the Bowls party.

10 players made it to the league match meaning that 25% of the score for the two triples was deducted at the end of the game. Maggie, Ange, Anne and Ossie found the goong tough and went from 8 – 12 at 9 ends to lose 15 – 31. Rosalind, Sabrina and Martin were 3 – 13 after 11 ends before putting together a great run to reduce the deficit to 3 shots with two ends to go. Unfortunately for WPBC the home side produced a cracking penultimate end  picking up 4 shots to win. After the 25% deduction the final score was 12 – 22. Claire, George and Neil were 4 – 11 down after 10 ends and after the deduction finished 12 – 19. Match result 0 – 10 (39 shots to 72).
