Mid-Week Triples League Away at Merton

On Wednesday afternoon we had our latest Mid-Week Triples match away at Merton. Mark, Vera and Martin were involved in a battle from the start and were 0 – 6 down after 4 ends. By end 12 it was ‘game on’ with the scores tied at 10 – 10. With the scores still level at 15 – 15 after end 17, it came down to a one end shoot out, but unfortunately for WPBC it was Merton who picked up the single to edge the game 16 – 15. After 14 ends the gap was down to just two at 13 – 11, but WPBC won 3 of the remaining 4 ends to take the game 23 – 12. Match result 6 – 2 (38 shots to 28).
