Mid-Week Triples v Carshalton
26.6.25 – This afternoon we played our latest Midweek Triples League match, at Home, against Carshalton Swans. A match played in a variety of different weather conditions, from very light rain, to very warm sunshine, to a lovely breeze, back to sunshine and ending up with a lovely breeze.
From being 3 – 5 down after 6 ends Frank, Richard F and Martin scored 9 shots, without reply, in the next 3 ends, going into a 12 – 5 lead after 9 ends. The second half of the match saw mainly ones and twos being swapped, with Wimbledon Park maintaining their lead and winning 19 – 13.
Rosalind, Mark and Peter dropped 3 shots on the first end, but reached the halfway point 9 – 7 in front. They then surged ahead winning 8 of the last 9 ends, finishing 20 – 9. So 39 Shots to 22 Shots in favour of Wimbledon Park, and an overall 8 – 0 Points win.
