Not to be in the First Men’s Singles Semi-final

17th August – this evening, over at West Wimbledon, Neil played Southey for a place in the final of the Wimbledon and District Men’s Singles. Struggling to find the line and length early on, Neil found himself 1 – 11 down, before clawing back to level the game at 11 – 11. With his opponent playing the more consistent bowls it was not long before the game was over, with Neil coming off second best losing 14 – 21.
