One-Day End of Season Round-Robin Competition

30.9.18 – This afternoon a record 16 club members took to the green for the end of season round-robin competition. Playing for the Challoner Cup, the 16 players were drawn into 4 pools with each player playing the other 3 in their pool. Ange was the winner of Pool A, ahead of runner-up Luke. Pool B had a three way tie at the top with Anne edging out John B and Rosalind on shots difference. Pool C saw Richard in top spot ahead of runner-up Claire. Pool D also saw a three way tie with Pete edging out Mary and Neil on shots difference.

The semi-finals, also played over 6 ends, saw Richard beat Ange 10 – 4 with Anne booking her place in the final with an 8 – 4 win against Pete. In a closely fought final, a full house on the third end proved crucial as Anne beat Richard 6 – 3 to win the Challoner Cup.
