Strong Showing in the League

June 12th – this afternoon we welcomed Merton BC to Wimbledon Park for our 3rd league game of the year. Despite the rain curtailing the game a few ends earlier than we would have liked, Anne, Helen, Vernon and Pete managed to post a 23 – 8 win. Cherry, Alison, Sabrina and Martin found the opposition bowling very tidily and went down 8 – 23. Hector, Rosalind, Ossie and Neil had a high scoring game but came off 27 – 15 to the good. Match result 8 – 2 (58 shots to 46).
