Tough Draw in the District Mixed Pairs

July 27th – This evening Anne and George visited Streatham Park to take on the 2016 District champions in the District Mixed Pairs competition. Unfortunately for Wimbledon Park, Anne and George got off to the worst possible start, dropping 7 shots on the first end. Their response to this however was tremendous as they took the next seven ends to lead 10 – 7. After 13 ends the scores were locked at 13 – 13 before their Streatham Park opponents picked up two counts of 4 to open up a winning lead. Final score after such a great comeback 15 – 26. Streatham Park will now play Sabrina and Barry at Wimbledon Park in the quarter-final.
