Tough Match in Today’s League Game

August 21st – this afternoon we travelled to South London BC for our latest league fixture. Sabrina, Mary, Vernon and Barry found their opposition in fine form going from 4 – 17 down after 11 ends to finish 7 – 36. Luke, Anne, Ossie and Neil did not fare much better with the opposition skip proving to be accurate end after end. 4 – 14 after 11 ends ended up as 12 – 25. George, Betty, Pete and Jonathan were 0 – 8 after 5 ends, but rallied to take the lead 11 – 9 after 11 ends. The second half was fairly even with WPBC holding on to win 18 – 17. Match result 2 – 8 (37 shots to 78).
