What a Come Back!

August 23rd – this evening over at Heathfield Sabrina took on Southey in the semi-final of the Wimbledon and District Ladies’ Singles. Playing on a rink which both players found to be decidedly tricky, it was the Southey bowler who pulled ahead to open up a 17 – 8 lead. Not to be outdone, Sabrina settled well playing both some accurate drawn bowls as well as some telling bowls that rested out the shot bowl. Four ends later and the scores were level at 17 – 17! Unfortunately the next end did not go to plan and it was the Southey bowler who headed to the final with a 21 – 17 win.
