Two Titles in the Wimbledon and District Finals

September 11th – Wimbledon Park were represented in four of today’s Wimbledon and District Finals. Session 1 saw Barry, Martin and Neil play Heathfield in the Men’s Triples. Unfortunately WPBC were not able to retain the title that they had won in 2014 1nd 2015, going down 9 – 20.

Session 2 saw Jonathan skipping Rose and Don (Belmont) in the Mixed Triples. A close first half was followed by Wandilea pulling away to win 17 – 10. The third match of the day saw Barry play Belmont in the Men’s Over 60s Singles. Once again a close first half had the scores tied at 11 – 11, before Barry took control to win 21 – 11.

Session 3 saw Neil play Belmont in the Mixed Singles. Yet again a close game took place before Neil just edged ahead to win 21 – 16, to retain the title he won in 2015.
