Weekend League Match Away at Mitcham

On Saturday afternoon we travelled to Mitcham for our latest Weekend League match. Anne, Rosalind, Claire T and Martin had a close first half with the scores at 7 – 6 after 9 ends. Winning 6 of the remaining 9 ends was enough to see them take the game 15 – 12. Mark, Caroline, Richard S and Neil found it hard going getting to grips with the green, unlike their opponents who led 9 – 3 after 9 ends and dominated the second half to win 23 – 7. Sue F, Dave, Vera and Barry had a tight match early on and led by a single shot after 9 ends, with the score at 7 – 6. The second half however belonged to WPBC who took the win 22 – 11. Match result 4 – 6 (44 shots to 46).
