What an Exciting Game!

This evening, Helen (playing for an injured Sabrina), Barry and Neil played away at Wandilea in the District Bill Simpson Mixed Triples. Playing on a very quick and tricky rink the game was close throughout with the opposition skip saving Wandilea from dropping shots on a number of occasions. At the end of the 18 ends, each side had won 9 ends and the scores were locked at 13 – 13. On the extra end after both leads and twos had played WPBC were two shots down, but pushing up our own bowl gave us shot with three bowls left. The situation remained the same with just one bowl left to be played; the Wandilea skip appeared to bowl too wide and his bowl played into one of our bowls which was just under a yard down, pushing it up for second bowl where it sat about 6 inches from the jack, however his own bowl spun off and ran on to become shot bowl, beating the WPBC bowl by an inch. A great game, which went right down to the wire!
