Aug 21st - This evening Barry, Martin and Neil took on Belmont (skipped by Jonathan), up at Heathfield in the Semi-final of the District Men's Triples. Despite some high quality bowling and each team winning 9 ends, it was Belmont who advanced to the Final with an 18 - 13 win. Thanks to Pete for his support.

Aug 20th - This afternoon we welcomed Wandilea to Wimbledon Park for our latest league match. First to finish were Anne, Luke, Ossie and Neil with a 33 - 10 win. Aug 19th - Wimbledon park ladies travelled to Heathfield to play the 2nd round of the Heathfield Ladies friendly. Always an enjoyable exchange it was a tale of 2 rinks. Playing well from the start Ange, Claire and Sabrina built up a strong lead against Healthfield and their Wimbledon park sub Rosalind, winning 23/14.

Aug 17th - This evening Sabrina and Barry played the defending champions from Streatham Park in the Quarter-final of the District Mixed Pairs. Unfortunately for Wimbledon Park their opponents were in fine form, drawing well and advancing to the Semi-final with a 22 - 8 win.

Aug 16th - This afternoon Wimbledon Park welcomed league leaders, Heathfield, for the latest match in the mid-week triples league. Anne, Vernon and Barry started well leading 4 - 0 after 3 ends and 8 - 3 after 7 ends. Aug 14th - This evening over at Southey, George played the re-arranged Quarter-final of the District Mixed Triples. Battling hard throughout, George pulled back from 3 - 9, to 7 - 11 after 13 ends, only to see home advantage tell as his opponent pulled away again, going on to win 21 - 11.

Aug 11th - This evening Neil played the Quarter-final of the Men's District Singles over at Southey. 10 ends in, with the lead having changed 4 times, Neil was ahead 10 - 9. 11 ends later and it was all over with Neil advancing to the Semi-final with a 21 - 13 win. Congratulations to the club members who are now in 6 Semi-finals as well as 1 final.

Aug 7th - This evening Sabrina, Barry and Neil played the Quarter-final of the 'Bill Simpson' District Mixed Triples at home to Colliers Wood. 4 ends in and the scores were level at 4 - 4, thereafter Wimbledon Park drew consistently to book a place in the Semi-final with a 15 - 8 victory.
