More experienced players were drawn to play with less experienced players in a round-robin format of 6 end games, with each player having 2 bowls. July 2nd - This morning Derek, Vernon and Pete took on Streatham Park in the District Men's Triples. In a close fought game Wimbledon Park battled to the very end. Needing four shots on the last end to tie the game, WPBC fell agonisingly short picking up three shots to lose 14 - 15.

July 1st - This afternoon Wimbledon Park took to the road for the first away fixture of the season. Playing at Streatham Park, on what turned out to be rather a quick green, had its challenges. July 1st - This morning's taster session saw a record 18 people on the green, including 5 first time visitors. At the end of the session we welcomed Fiona to the club, our 9th new member to join in 2017.

June 30th - This evening, in an all Wimbledon Park match, Neil played Anne in the Wimbledon and District Mixed Singles. At the end of the game it was Neil who advanced to the quarter-final.

In a match played in a great atmosphere, Wimbledon park drew consistently throughout the game, opening up an early lead which saw them 11 - 3 ahead after 6 ends and 18 - 4 after 12 ends.
