2.6.21 A Busy Day – Mid-Week Triples, Surrey v Sussex & Surrey Unbadged Singles

2.6.21 – This afternoon we welcomed Streatham Park to WPBC, for our latest Mid-Week Triples League match. Unfortunately, our visitors settled quickly into their stride and both Wimbledon Park triples were on the losing side. A big thank you to Ange, Richard F, Martin, Rosalind, Jonny and Barry for playing. Match result 0 – 8 (10 shots to 50)

Down in Eastbourne Neil played for Surrey as they took on Sussex. On a tricky green, Neil’s rink came out on top 28 – 18, with Surrey winning overall 131 – 106.

In the evening, Richard S played the next game in the Surrey Unbadged Singles. Starting strongly he led 12 – 3 and a short while later 15 – 7, before his Heathfield opponent caught an edge bowl and picked up a 3. In the latter stage it was Richard’s opponent who was more consistent, going on to win 21 – 16.
