A Tight Tussle in the Mid-week League

15.8.18 – This afternoon we travelled to league leaders Colliers Wood for our latest Mid-week Triples match. Steve, Rosalind and Ossie were level after 8 ends at 9 – 9, but a strong second half saw them pull away to win 26 – 18. Anne, Ange and Barry had a tight game throughout with the scores level no fewer than 6 times during the game. Unfortunately for Wimbledon Park, Colliers Wood pulled out the stops on the final two ends, picking up a 2 and a 6 to win the game 21 – 13. Match result a tie 4 – 4 (39 shots to 39).
