Another Close Result at The National Championships

7.8.19 – This morning Barry, Pete, Martin and Neil played Cumbria for a place in the 1/4 -Final of the National Senior Fours. Today’s start was not what had been hoped for and after 3 ends, the score was 0 – 10. Showing tremendous character, 4 ends later and it was game on, as Wimbledon Park led 12 – 10. With the lead changing hands between the teams, WPBC were back ahead at 18 – 17 after 13 ends, before dropping a count of 6. Despite picking up a couple of twos it was not quite enough and Cumbria went through to the 1/4-Final with a 25 – 22 win.
