Club Finals – Day 2

2.9.18 – Sunday continued with great weather and some wonderfully close finals. In the first session the Club 2 Woods, went to the full 21 ends, at which point both Pete and Neil had 14 shots. The extra end saw Neil just hang on to win, despite Pete’s great efforts. The Ladies  2 Woods, also went the full distance with Anne holding off a late rally by Claire to win 12 – 11. The second session saw Claire secure the Ladies 3-2-1, with a 62 points to 46 win against Rosalind. In the Club 3 Wood Yardstick, George led Neil until the 12th end, but Neil edged the final ends to win by 38 points to 32. In the last session of the weekend Sabrina settled the quicker in the Ladies Championship, going on to beat Anne 21 – 2. In the Robert Faulds, the lead changed hands 5 times, with John B just beating Ange 21 – 17. In the Men’s Championship, Neil stared the quicker to lead Barry 12 – 3 after 7 ends, a close match ensued with Barry winning 13 ends to Neil’s 10, taking the match 21 – 20, with a count of 3 shots on the last end.
