County Champions!

28.7.19 – This evening Barry, Pete, Martin and Neil played Old Coulsdon in the Final of the Surrey Over-55 Men’s Fours. After close early exchanges a count of 5 and 2 to Wimbledon Park saw them open up an 11 – 4 lead after 8 ends, whereupon Old Coulsdon took a 3 to close the gap to 4 shots. Great teamwork from all four WPBC bowlers saw them only drop 5 shots in the last 9 ends to take the Surrey title 16 – 12 and with it a place at Leamington in the National Championships. Congratulations to Pete who received his Surrey Badge at the end of the final. A huge thank you to our substitute Richard, who helped us to win the Quarter and Semi-Finals, and to Richard, Vicki and Fiona for their support this evening.
