Great Result in The Wimbledon and District League

27.7.19 – This afternoon we travelled to South London, who were lying in 3rd place, for our latest fixture in the Wimbledon and District league. Rink 1 saw Anne, Ange, Sabrina and Martin get off to a strong start leading 12 – 5 after 11 ends. The second half saw more of the same with a final score of 23 – 11. Luke, Rosalind, George and Pete on Rink 2 led 5 – 1 after 4 ends and were level at 9 – 9 after 11 ends. The second half however belonged to South London who picked up two 5s to close out the game with a 25 – 14 win. Rink 3 saw Claire, Mike, Richard and Barry level at 8 – 8 after 11 ends but a great second half performance saw Wimbledon Park only lose one end to win 23 – 10. Match result a win 8 – 2 (60 shots to 46). Thanks to Barry for captaining today’s match.
