Final Mid-week Triples Match

Sept 20th – This afternoon we travelled over to Merton for the final mid-week triples match of the season. Maggie, Anne and Ossie found the going tough and were 1 – 17 down after 9 ends. Honours were even in the second half with each team scoring 5 points, leaving Merton the winners by 22 shots to 6. Rosalind, Christine and Barry also had a battle. Winning 6 of the first 9 ends still left them 6 – 10 behind. The second half however was a strong one for their opponents who went on to win 24 – 6. Match result 0 – 8 (12 shots to 46). Thank you to all our triples players. Across the season our performances were good enough to leave us as Runners-Up in Division 2.
