Final’s Day 2 – What a Finish!

September 4th – Day 2 continued in the same vein as Day 1. Once again the enthusiasm of the finalists and supporters was wonderful to see, as was the quality of the bowls played!

Session 1 saw Sabrina beat Angela by 2 sets to 0 in the Joan White Memorial Cup, whilst Martin beat Neil 2 sets to 0 in the Open Championship.

In Session 2 Sabrina beat Mary 21 – 13 in the Ladies’ Round Robin, whilst the come back of the day came in the Four Wood Points where Pete edged out Martin by 76 points to 74.

Session 3 saw Neil beat Jonathan 21 – 8 in the Men’s Championship, Sabrina beat Angela 21 – 5 in the Ladies’ Championship and Cassie and Matthew (both playing in their first club final) playing out a battle royal which Cassie won 21 – 17.

Once again, thanks to all players, markers and supporters for making this a finals’ weekend to be proud of.
