Mid-week League Defeat

August 25th – this afternoon we welcomed Colliers Wood to the green for our penultimate mid-week triples game of the season. In a match between the top two teams in Division 2, the game was destined to be a close one. After 9 ends, Betty, Vernon and Barry were just ahead 9 – 8, whilst Ossie, Hector and Neil led 10 – 7. Unfortunately for WPBC the second half belonged to Colliers Wood who went on to win 19 – 15 against Barry’s triple and 20 – 15 against Neil’s. Match result 0 – 8 (30 shots to 39).
