Mid-Week Triples League v Belmont

On Thursday afternoon we welcomed Belmont to the green as the top two teams in Division 1 of the Mid-Week League played a potential title decider. Pete, Vera and Martin got away to a great start leading 10 – 2 after 9 ends and continuing to out bowl their opponents in the second half, finishing with a 24 – 4 win. Anne, Dave and Neil also started well leading 15 – 4 after 9 ends and securing the second rink win 24 – 13. Match result 8 – 0 (48 shots to 17) which was enough to win Division 1 with a game to spare. Congratulations to all the club players who have supported the league throughout the season.
