Oh So Close!

12th – This evening Barry, Pete, Martin and Neil hosted Norbury in the semi-final of the Area 1 Surrey Men’s Fours. The game turned out to be a game in which each team dominated as WPBC went from 3 – 0 at two ends to 3 – 10 at 8 ends before coming back to lead 12 – 10 after 12 ends. From then on the remaining ends saw the lead change and change again before Wimbledon Park picked up two shots on the 20th  end to take a two shot lead into the last end. A tight final end saw Norbury take the 2 shots required to take the game to an extra end and it was WPBC who managed to take the single on the extra end to advance to the Area final with a 19 – 18 win.
