Penultimate Mid-week Triples Match Results in a Win

Aug 31st – This afternoon we hosted Merton BC in the penultimate Mid-week Triples League match. Rosalind, Ossie and Vernon got off to a flying start and led 13 – 4 at 9 ends. More of the same continued in the second half as Wimbledon Park went on to win 23 – 6. Anne, Derek and Barry found the going harder and at 9 ends were 4 – 12 down. Picking up five shots on the 12th end was the start of the revival and it continued with the winning of 6 of the last 7 ends. Final score a win for Wimbledon Park 17 – 15. Match result 8 – 0 (40 shots to 21). A big thank you to all the players but especially to Rosalind who stepped in to enable the match to go ahead.
