15.8.21 What a Result in the Match Between the Ladies and the Men

This afternoon, in a new format, we had the annual match between the ladies and the Men.  Games consisted of 6 ends of Singles, followed by two 6 end games of Pairs/Triples. Each game was worth a point to the winners with 1/2 a point to each team for a draw. After the Singles the men led 3.5 to 1.5. After the first Pairs/Triples games the Ladies had closed the gap to trail 3 – 4. After the second Pairs/Triples, the Ladies had turned around the deficit winning both games to take the honours 5 – 4. A wonderful afternoon, topped off by tea and cake… a great way to celebrate!
