The club's first outing in the Men's National Double Rink competition took us to Wandilea, the 2012 National semi-finalists. There was certainly no disgrace in the way that we played against strong opposition. Luke, Vernon, Barry and Martin lost 13 - 22, whilst Ralph, Pete, Jonathan and Neil lost 19 - 22. Match result 32 - 44.

This afternoon Wimbledon Park travelled to Meton Manor for the second league game of the weekend. This afternoon's league match away at Streatham Park proved to be a tough encounter. Alf, Anne, Pete and Martin narrowly lost 16 - 19. This evening, playing away at Wandilea, Jonathan and Neil had a strong start in the National Family Pairs. After 6 ends they led 18 - 1, with their opponents conceding 12 ends later with the score at 34 - 8.

Earlier this week, Merton Council confirmed that the club's Open Day (11 - 5) on Saturday 30th May, has been chosen to be one of the 50 Golden Events that they are promoting to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the forming of the local council. This is a great honour for the club and will raise the profile of our Open Day via the council's website.
