In Session One we had the final of the 3 Wood Yardstick competition with Martin and Pete, level after 18 ends, forcing an extra end which just went to Pete. Drawing well from the off Neil had two bowls within a foot on the first end, only to have his opponent fire the jack out of the rink, which set the tone for the game. 27.8.24 - This evening Neil was up at South London to play against Wandilea in the semi-final of the District Mixed Singles. In a game that was dominated by Neil's opponent, it was Wandilea who advanced to the final with a 21 - 12 win.

All three rinks were very close at the midway point but unfortunately Mitcham took all three games in the end. With a dominant performance from WPBC, the half time score of 12 - 7 was built upon in the second half to become 23 - 13, and with it the club booked its 4th place in the District finals.
