20.7.18 - This evening Sabrina and Barry travelled to Raynes Park for the District Mixed Pairs. In a closely fought game the scores were kept tight until the last few ends when Sabrina and Barry had to chase the game and dropped a few shots. The final score saw Raynes Park through to the quarter-final with a 25 - 15 win.

Starting well WPBC led 9 - 4 after 7 ends before Merton fought back, taking the lead 10 - 9, five ends later. After 17 ends Wimbledon Park lead 14 - 11. 17.7.18 - This evening Pete and Martin played away at Heathfield in the District Men’s Pairs competition. Unfortunately for the Wimbledon Park pair, home advantage told and it was the Heathfield bowlers who advanced to the quarter-final with a 16 - 6 win.

17.7.18 - This afternoon Neil travelled to Newdigate BC to play for Surrey BA as they took on Bowls Hampshire. A close game unfolded at the start, before some high quality drawing saw Surrey take control with Neil’s rink winning by 24 shots to 11. Overall Surrey won on 5 of the 6 rinks, ending with a 61 shot advantage, 151 shots to 90.

16.7.18 - This afternoon Neil went over to Southey for the District Men’s Singles. On another scorching hot day, Neil started the stronger and in a close game with high quality drawing from both players Neil booked the 1/4 final spot with a 21 - 10 win.

14.7.18 - This morning George travelled to Mitcham BC for the District Mixed Singles. Getting off to a strong start, George led 10 - 2 after 8 ends. Continuing to draw well George booked his place in the quarter-final with an impressive 21 - 5 victory.

13.7.18 - Neil played up at Heathfield this evening in the District Mixed Singles. After a strong start by his opponent, which left Neil 0 - 5 down after 4 ends, a tight game ensued. At the end of the 26 end marathon Neil just edged through to book Wimbledon Park’s 7th District 1/4 final place with a 21 - 18 win.
