Excellent start to the District Over 60’s Men’s Singles

June 21st - this evening Barry played his first match in the Wimbledon and District Men's Over 60's Singles. Playing over at Southey, Barry found the green immediately, taking control of the game to book his place in the quarter-finals with a 21 - 4 win. More

3rd Successive Win in the League

June 19th - this afternoon Wimbledon Park travelled to Bolingbroke for their latest league fixture. At tea, after 10 ends, Mary, Ange, Jonathan and Barry were leading 14 - 8, Ossie, Betty, Vernon and Neil were leading 15 - 3 and Anne, Helen, Pete and Martin were trailing 7 - 11. June 17th - today's taster session saw a few players on the green, thank you to those who gave their support. The first bowls' party of 2016 took place this afternoon, thanks to Barry for arranging this and for setting up and clearing away at the end. More

Excellent Result in the Middleton Cup

June 17th - this morning Jonathan played in his 2nd Middleton Cup match, this time against league leaders Berkshire. Aiding Surrey to a strong 27 - 16 win on his rink, Surrey took all 22 league points by beating Berks by 142 shots to 103. More

District Men’s Singles Success

June 17th - this evening Neil welcomed Bolingbroke to Wimbledon Park for the W&DBA Men's Singles. Neil started strongly to lead 9 - 0, only for his opponent to play some great final bowls to take singles on the next 4 ends to close the gap. Winning 7 ends to 6, it was Neil who advanced to the next round, 21 - 6. More

June 16th - this evening the weather took control of proceedings at Wimbledon Park. The cloudburst rendered the green unplayable leaving Pete and Martin to play their Surrey Pairs against South London on Monday 20th June, along with Ossie, Derek, Vernon and Barry who host Merton Park in the Surrey Area Top 4.
