Strong Performance in the Mid-Week Triples League

June 29th – this afternoon Wimbledon Park travelled to Colliers Wood for the postponed mid-week triples match. In a close game, where the scores were levelled on 5 occasions it was Vernon, Betty and Barry who came through strongly at the end to win 18 – 14. Derek, Ossie and Jonathan found their game more one-sided, opening up a 23 – 0 lead after 9 ends and going on to win 32 – 8. The match result, 8 – 0 (50 shots to 22), was enough to keep WPBC at the top of Division 2.
