This evening Barry and Neil continued the defence of their District Pairs Title, with a home game against Belmont. This evening there were two District Singles games played at Wimbledon Park as Neil played the quarter-final of the Mixed Singles and Barry played for a place in the quarter-final of the Over 60's Men's Singles. Neil was first to finish, playing against Bolingbroke and managed to make his way through to the club's second semi-final with a 21- 4 victory. ...

This evening Neil played Heathfield for a place in the quarter-final of the District Men's Singles. On what turned out to be a demanding rink at Wimbledon Park, both players struggled to draw to the jack. It was Neil however who managed to edge ahead and secure the quarter-final spot winning 11 of the 16 ends to claim the victory by 21 shots to 7.

What an incredible start to August there was at this morning's taster session in Wimbledon Park. Not only was there an all time record attendance of 19 people on the green but 6 of them were attending for the first time.
