July 31st - this morning Cherry and Sabrina took on Heathfield in the quarter-final of the Ladies' Pairs. Starting well, WPBC were 5 - 0 up after 4 ends. Unfortunately for the home pair, their opponents then found the green to their liking and the game changed with Heathfield ending up as winners by 24 shots to 9. More

Further Success in the League

July 30th - this afternoon we welcomed South London to Wimbledon Park for our latest league fixture. Matt, Claire, (playing in her first league game) Sabrina and Barry started well and were 8 - 3 up after 6 ends, 7 ends later and South London led 17 - 8. Great Time at Today’s Taster Session

July 30th - another successful taster session took place this morning with 4 people returning following last week's session. As a result we welcome Cassie and Steven, the 10th and 11th new members to join WPBC in 2016. More

Not to be again in the Bill Simpson Mixed Triples

July 29th - this evening Wimbledon Park hosted Wandilea in the two-wood Mixed Triples. Starting strongly Sabrina, Barry and Neil opened up a 6 - 1 lead at 6 ends, but unfortunately that was as good as it got. 3rd District Semi-final Place Secured

29th July - this afternoon Neil played Heathfield in the quarter-final of the Men's Singles. With both bowlers drawing well, the game remained close early on, with the scores tied at 4 - 4 after 6 ends. 12 ends later the game was over with WPBC having the semi-final spot following a 21 - 10 win. Into the 2nd District Semi-final

July 28th - this evening Neil went to Southey for the quarter-final of the District Mixed Singles. Trying to defend the title that he won last year, Neil started well and was 10 - 4 ahead after 10 ends, going on to secure a place in the semi-final with a 21 - 9 win. More

Back to the Top of the Mid-week League

July 28th - this afternoon Wimbledon Park travelled to Belmont BC for their latest mid-week triples fixture. With WPBC drawing well from the start Hector, Ossie and Jonathan finished with a 23 - 5 win, whilst Betty, Vernon and Barry secured a 28 - 6 win. Tough Quarter-final in the Ladies’ Pairs

July 26th - this evening Ange and Helen, playing in their first Ladies' Pairs competition, came up against tough opposition in Southey's Surrey semi-finalists. Despite a valiant effort, it was the Southey pair who proved too strong, advancing to the District semi-finals. More

First District Semi-final Place

July 26th - Sabrina is the first Wimbledon Park bowler through to a Wimbledon and District semi-final, as her opponent from Wandilea conceded the quarter-final of the Champion of Champions competition to her. More
