13.8.21 Through to Our Second Place in the District Finals

This afternoon Neil was at Belmont, neutral green, to play Mitcham in the Semi-Final of the District Mixed Singles. In a close game, the scores were tied at 16 - 16, before Neil edged ahead to book our second place in the District Finals with a 22 - 16 win. More

10.8.21 Our 8th District Semi-Final Place

This afternoon Barry and Neil welcomed Streatham Park in the Quarter-Final of the District Men’s Pairs. Starting with a count of seven on the first end saw WPBC up and running and further careful drawing saw them advance to the Semi-Final with a 28 - 5 win. More

9.8.21 Our 7th District Semi-Final Place

Unfortunately, South London, our opponents in this evening’s District Men’s Fours, had to concede the game to us, putting Barry, Pete, Martin and Neil into our seventh District Semi-Final. More

This afternoon, 9 people took to the green for the Club 2-Woods competition. At the end of the closely fought Round-Robin group stages, Barry topped Group A, with Claire as Runner-Up and Rosalind in third. Neil headed group B, with Richard S as Runner-Up and Anne in third. 6.8.21 Through to the Final of the District Champion of Champions

This afternoon Neil played South London in the Seni-Final of the District Champion of Champions competition. Playing over at Belmont, on a neutral green, the scores were tight throughout and level at 13 - 13, before Neil edged ahead to win 21 - 14, booking the club’s first place in the District Finals in September. More

This evening Barry, Pete, Martin and Neil played Belmont, as they continued the defence of their Surrey Over-55 Men’s Fours title. Despite leading 5 - 0, it was Heathfield who took the honours with a 13 - 11 win. More

This afternoon Richard F welcomed Heathfield in the Quarter-Final of the District Mixed Singles. In a close match it was Heathfield who advanced to the Semi-Finals with a 21 - 16 win. More
