17.5.24 - This evening Claire T and Martin hosted Croydon in the opening round of the Surrey Mixed Pairs. After close exchanges in the opening ends the scores were tied at 11 - 11 after 12 ends. A strong finish saw WPBC win 5 of the 6 remaining ends to win 20 - 13. More

A Very Wet Surrey Officers’ Bowl

16.5.24 - This evening Neil was over at Ashburton Park for the start of the Surrey Officers’ Bowl. On a very heavy green a close contest developed, and, even when the rain set in, there was little between the players until the 23rd end. 11.5.24 - This morning we held the postponed final of the 2023 Club Handicap Pairs final between William/Rosalind and Caroline/Richard S. After a lot of  high quality bowling, it was Caroline/Richard S who emerged as champions with a 28 - 14 win; congratulations to all of the finalists. More

National Senior Pairs Success

10.5.24 - This afternoon Pete and Neil were at West Wimbledon for the first round of the Men’s National Senior Pairs. In what is now a 3-bowl pairs competition, early exchanges had the teams battling out a close contest, before WPBC picked up a run of 3, 3 and 4 shots to open up a gap, going on to win 25 - 15. More
